Karš un Miers // War and Peace

"No kara uz mieru. 1940.–1950. gadu mode."

"From War to Peace. Fashion of the 1940s and 1950s."
This is an amazing Alexandres Vassilievs exhibition in Riga that showcases a large variety of accessories and outfits from 1940s and 1950s. The big number of accessories that include hats, sunglasses, bags and brooches is mindblowing and I would not lie if I said that I would love to have few pieces from his collection he has showcased. Also there is a variety of outfits, starting from everyday dresses ending with the one once-in-a-lifetime dress, that is, wedding dress. And what was interesting, so many silhouettes, shapes and colors are on trend right now! Its only a small part pictured here, but you can have an online excursion here, and read an intrview with Alexandre on ELLE here
Although this exhibition is showcased in Riga right now, Alexandre has a variety of them all over the world, so check the closest galleries and maybe an exhibition of his pops up!
